Position:  Junior Construction Engineer
 
Summary and Purpose of Role:

A Junior Construction Engineer is a job role that is responsible for monitoring, and supervising of construction works implementing by contractors as well as assisting in development and prepare of pre-construction drawings / documents; assist in handover process; managing facility maintenance operations; performs a variety of technical tasks relative to facility maintenance; provides technical assistance to the department Construction Engineer
 
Areas of Responsibility Include:

Job Role Responsibilities: 

 Monitors the construction effort;
 Responsible for ensuring the implementation of the scope of work by contractor as related to construction/ fabrication, pre- commissioning, and commissioning of the facilities is in conformance with project specifications, scope of work, and in accordance with the approved project schedule.
 Assists the process and organization of permit drawings for new buildings / facilities.
 Review of construction drawings or other deliverables for consistency and correctness.
 Monitors work progress and report to upper Management on project details, including progress, risks and opportunities in a timely manner.
 Monitors construction productivity and schedule performance and investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance. Provides recommendations and institute measures for improvement by modification to operating procedures/work instructions.
 Assists Construction Engineer in handover process of facilities with preparing of snag / punch lists, assists the progress of handover process.
 Supervise, review, and participate in the work of staff responsible for facility maintenance.
 Oversees installation, inspections, repairs, trouble shooting and daily maintenance of buildings, infrastructures, and facility equipment.
 Responsible for keeping buildings and facilities in good status to comply with environmental, health, and safety policies
 Answer questions and provide information to the public; investigate complaints and recommend corrective action as necessary to resolve complaints. Complaints shall be logged and reported to Construction Engineer on a planned basis.
 Perform related duties as required.

Position Qualification 

Knowledge

 Technical skills in project controls and 1 to 3 years’ experience in construction engineering
 Bachelor degree or equivalent.
 A highly motivated individual with entrepreneurial approach.
 Possess an extremely friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing personality, with ability to openly communicate and work with all types of individuals and personalities.
 Ability to develop right working process

 Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
 Excellent presentation skills
 Ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
 Proven interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
 Well organized with excellent time
 Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook, PowerPoint) as well as CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD)
