Role synopsis

BP Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey Region (AGTR) invites senior professionals to apply to Health & Safety Compliance Specialist role. In this role you will be responsible to support the Operations and Wells H&S group in maintaining a comprehensive understanding of its Health Safety Environment (HSE) and compliance requirements. The Health & Safety (H&S) Compliance Specialist will report to the Azerbaijan Georgia Turkey Region (AGTR) Operations and Wells H&S Team Leader in the AGTR Operations and Wells Health & Safety Organization.

Key accountabilities 

• Support the on-going process of translating HSE compliance requirements into specific actions;
• Provide support on the interpretation of different HSE legal and regulatory requirements and assessing likely applicability to activities providing HSE technical expertise on HSE compliance related activities;
• Liaise with the HSE Compliance Team Leader and Regulatory Compliance and Environment Manager to ensure that the Operations and Wells HSE compliance position is effectively managed;
• Ensure the timely closure of Operations and Wells Compliance Task Manager (CTM) tasks;
• Contribute to improving the management of contractor compliance with HSE Legal and Regulatory requirements;
• Contribute to on-going work to determine the applicability of national, international and project specific HSE requirements to reflect changes in AGTR Operations and Wells HSE activities;
• Contribute to the review of Operations and Wells HSE compliance tasks and ensure that they are smart before they go live;
• Participate in BP internal and contractor compliance performance assurance audits relating to Operations and Wells HSE compliance;
• Participate in developing Operations Wells HSE Compliance Plan and assisting on closure of HSE Compliance Plan actions;

Essential Education 

• University Degree

Essential experience and job requirements 

• The role requires a minimum of 5 years HSE experience in operations or offshore and onshore roles
• Strong knowledge of HSE Processes, Policies, Standards, Practices and Guidelines
• Knowledge and Understanding of regulation and National legislation
