Training and Competence Specialist

Caspian Marine Service is one of the leading marine operators involved in important offshore oil and gas projects across all sectors of the Caspian Sea.

We are currently looking for a Training and Competence Specialist position.

Required skills & qualifications:

- Minimum 1 – 2 years of relevant experience in Training & Development areas
- Advanced computer user, with a strong knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
-  Fluent Azeri and English
- Highly organized and able to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and presentation skills

Key responsibilities:

- Advising and monitoring the training and development processes to ensure all competence standards are met. 
-  Act upon any legislative changes that impact on training and competence, including training, testing, assessments and record keeping and by using innovative thinking, ensure changes are implemented resulting in continued adherence to the regulations.
-  Maintain demonstrable up to date training and competence knowledge.
- Act as a trainer to conduct relevant internal trainings.
- Maintain up-to-date records of qualifications, experience and training courses attended for all staff.
-  Identify training needs to ensure that personnel have the required skills and capabilities.
- Identify additional training requirements for staff development.
- Ensure that certification of the applicants/new hires complies with the issuing authority’s standards/requirements and meets vessel type requirements.
- Collect incoming publications for training courses and investigate other training opportunities for staff, arrange and book training courses for employees.
