Mechanical Engineer

Key accountabilities:

• Ensure the work performed is in accordance with the drawings and specifications
• Check, contractors’ delivered material according to approved submittals and report to the MEP superintend.
• Maintain detailed diary of daily work activities, issues, work approved or rejected, hours of operations, labor and equipment used and sign at the end of each day and report to the MEP superintend.
• Coordinate with contractors’ team to advice on execution of the work, and following related with construction activities.
• Coordinate with contractors’ team to arrange for sampling and testing of defective work and quality assurance of suspect materials
• Coordinate with surveyors to check line and levels in conformance with drawings and specifications
• Process request to inspect work forms and maintain record of status
• Maintain records of completed works for interim and final payment and as-built drawings as per site installation.
• Maintain HSE requirements and report improper installation activities.

Required skills/experience:

• Have respective university degree in Mechanical engineering
• Have demonstrated 5-years’ experience in mechanical engineering (MEP) design, operation and technical related services
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate the ability to work with Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel) and be conversant with AutoCAD, data management and telecommunications.
• An experience in construction project work with demonstrated capabilities, having successfully undertaken work on construction projects
