Position: Fabrication Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Timely communication of project execution issues to project management team
• Evaluation on work performed by contractors to insure that the work is being executed in accordance with project specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements
• Review of design drawings and documents
• Identifying and assessing deviations to Contract Technical Specifications and regulatory requirements, ensuring that such deviations are processed according to project procedures
Responding to technical queries and inspection of works for approval and quality
• Work with and assist locally contracted builders in a supportive and cooperative manner to improve the quality of their works and management skills
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining a culture of safety on site.
• Monitor and minimize environmental impacts of the project works.
• Able to read and interpret plans, calculate levels and perform a site set out.
• Manage logistics of material and equipment handling and delivery.
• Able to work effectively with community groups and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of welding processes, WPS’s, ITP’s, WQT’s, and safely deliver welding activities according to schedule and specification/standard requirements
• Ability to read completed inspection forms to ensure all maintenance, repair and inspection tasks have been adequately completed by workers. Identify structures and locate dimensions in scale drawings. Familiarity with employee legislation.
• Excellent communication skills in order to effectively interact with managers and supervisors to explain progress of job and to obtain instructions and tasks.
• Works and ensures that all employees work in a safe manner, in a safe environment.
• Participate in the corrective action process.

Requirements

• Have an Associate's or BS degree in a technical field or extensive oil & gas / civil industry experience
• Have a minimum 5-7 years’ construction, inspection and commissioning experience with oil & gas / civil industry projects
• Have strong working knowledge of construction contracts, contractor inspection procedures and construction work sequences for civil construction
• Have working knowledge of codes & standards such as EN 1090-2, AWS inspection procedures.
• Have knowledge of Welding Processes
• General knowledge of NDT processes (UT, MT, PT)
• Basic knowledge of surface preparation and painting application processes
• Able to read structural drawings
• Must have good team building and motivational skills
• Experience of working in a multi-national team 
• Should have a good command of English, written and oral
