Drilling School HSE Instructor

Location: Onshore
Employment Type: Full time, 8-hour, Monday-Friday

Responsible for:

Delivering training courses at SOCAR AQS Drilling School.

Job responsibilities:

 Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the Integrated Management System Procedures;
 Prepare, distribute, and submit syllabus and approved course outlines for all assigned sections in accordance with program and policies;
 Contribute to program curriculum development process;
 Obtain necessary training courses accreditations;
 Ensure all training materials are in compliance with current legislation, international standards and best practices;
 Welcome trainees to the training center and provide a detailed induction, with particular emphasis on safety awareness;
 Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently and deliver feedback to students’ work promptly to promote maximum learning;
 Supervise delegates with scrutinized practical training sessions, ensuring all exercises are conducted in a safe and professional manner;
 Ensure participants are fully aware of the aims and objectives of the training and assessment programmes will be conducted;
 Assist with scheduling training courses to meet operational requirements of the Company.

Qualifications / Experience / Competencies:

 Higher education;
 More than 3+ years’ experience in HSE position;
 High level of leadership skills;
 Presentation skills (desirable);
 Language skills
o Azeri (fluent);
o English (fluent);
o Russian (fluent);
 Software skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Outlook). MS Access would be advatageous.

 Enthusiasm and upbeat manner, to keep trainees motivated, positive and productive;

 A personable and friendly approach so you’re trainees feel comfortable asking questions if necessary;
 Unbiased, tolerant and pro-active.
