Procurement Specialist

Job Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with external customers and  (business unit personnel, accounting, etc.) evidenced by consistent positive customer feedback.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers  and maintain regular contact with other non-key suppliers to enable execution of our strategies.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of  supply and demand fundamentals to enable excellent material sourcing decisions and job bid advice.
• In conjunction with each business unit, develop and implement annual supply strategy for material needs.  Manage and adjust the strategy throughout the year.
• Provide material  price and risk advice for larger projects during bidding to ensure competitiveness.
• Secure supply (provide advisory services for business units to secure or negotiate volume, price, payment terms, etc. for managed supply) consistent with strategies and forecasts, price supply to the divisions/plants when necessary, and manage long/short position to ensure competitive, stable supply.
• Optimize the current purchase order system to enhance accounting processes.
 
Job Qualifications and Requirements:

o BS in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics or equivalent experience
o relevant experience preffered
o Strong strategic thinking
o Ability to analyze options, understand risks and make recommendations
o Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others and build consensus
o Ability to establish processes/procedures and properly manage and prioritize resources and projects
o Team player, who can operate effectively within a matrix management environment
o Strong consultative and communication skills and ability to interface effectively with all levels of management
o Ability to work in high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines
o Proven proficiency of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
o Excellent written and oral communication skills in Azerbaijan English and good Russian
o  University Entrance score should be 500 out of 700
