Montessori Instructor Assistant (Port Baku Kids Club)

Key accountabilities:

• Assisting teachers during art/cooking/music classes for all the age groups;
• organizing the classroom and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment;
• conducting small and whole class groups with songs, poems, language games, stories and cultural subjects
• Supervise children during lunch time and outdoor play
• Montessori materials making
• fixing breakages in the classroom if required;
• motivating children with enthusiastic, imaginative classes;
• working with others to plan and coordinate work;
• organizing and taking part in club events and activities if taking place at weekends or in the evening;
• liaising with colleagues, building good working relations and working with flexibility;
• cover other classes if required;
• give a tour to potential parents, provide club information if requested;
• doing any administrative work required for classes;

Required skills/experience:

• Pedagogy or psychology background
• Demonstrated competence in a similar role
• Montessori experience desired
• Good command of English language
• Computer literate
• Excellent verbal and written expression
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Works well in a collaborative environment
• Good classroom management skills
• Ability to be flexible
