Position: Procurement Specialist

Main Job duties:

• Compares prices amongst various vendors in order to make sound purchasing decisions
• Works within a given budget to purchase goods and services for an organization
• Ensures that products are delivered in a timely manner, and that the quality of the goods received is satisfactory
• Negotiates with contractors on price, mode of shipping, and delivery time
• Orders goods such as office supplies on a continuing basis in order to maintain certain inventory levels
• Checks invoices for accuracy, and authorizes the accounts payable department to issue payment
• Evaluates the performance of certain vendors in order to decide whether or not to continue buying from them
• Inventories items in order to determine which ones need to be purchased
• Optimize the current purchase order system to enhance accounting processes.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• BS in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics or equivalent experience relevant
• Minimum two years of experience as Procurement specialist (preferred senior level and at Food&Beverage field);
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Azerbaijan English and Russian
• Strong strategic thinking
• Ability to analyze options, understand risks and make recommendations
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others and build consensus
• Ability to establish processes/procedures and properly manage and prioritize resources and projects
• Team player, who can operate effectively within a matrix management environment
• Strong consultative and communication skills and ability to interface effectively with all levels of management
• Proven proficiency of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
