WorleyParsons has been delivering engineering and project management services to the global hydrocarbons industry for over sixty years. Our full-scope global project services span the entire asset lifecycle from the initial conceptual phase of major Greenfield developments to ongoing asset services and brownfield modifications projects.

WorleyParsons has been awarded a five year contract for Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management services for BP-operated assets in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey.

We are currently looking for an experienced QC Inspector to join our Baku office.

Purpose:

• The QC Inspector is a member of the Construction Quality Control staff and performs inspections and/or verification of related quality control activities in compliance with regulatory, company, and contract requirements.

KEY Accountabilities Of Position:

• Inspection and verification of both in-process and completed work activities including witnessing construction / performance testing performed by construction and/or contractors as directed by the Construction Superintendent, Commissioning Engineer and/or Quality Manager.
• Required to complete daily inspection reports / checklists, and maintain records until time of turnover.
• Performs surveillances, assessments, or audits of WorleyParsons or subcontractor activities.
• Develops reports for the Construction Superintendent, Commissioning Engineer and/or Quality Manager on the status and quality of work accomplished.  Reports include quality control or related reports from subcontractors.
• Supports and participates in HSE audits and assessments.
• Provides input to monthly Quality Report.
• Completes other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

• Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively communicate in English and take a leadership role over the group for which they have supervisory responsibilities.  Commitment to customer service and ability to assist others in applying knowledge and understanding in solving functional problems within area of expertise.  Ability to maintain confidential information is critical.

Experience:

Required:
• Proven experience in a project quality control role or closely related fields of field construction / commissioning / certification.
• Understanding of the principles and practice of quality control management and the implementation and improvement of inspection and ITP’s in the field construction / workshop fabrication.

Guide:
• More than 5 years industry experience, including at least 2 year in project quality control and/or closely related fields of field construction / commissioning / certification.

Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:
• A recognised trade qualification or equivalent.

Preferred:
• Post-trade qualifications in the relevant discipline or supervisory qualifications or equivalent experience.
