Payroll Specialist

Location: Office
Department: HR
Employment Type: Full-time

A Payroll Specialist performs payroll accounting and administrative duties to support the Payroll department including setting up payroll account codes, processing payroll certifications, setting up voluntary deductions, processing and auditing payroll, auditing payroll reports, processing tax forms and resolving payroll issues.

Key responsibilities:

 Preparing reviews and organizes payroll documents for input for biweekly time sheets, bonuses payments and commissions
 Working with HR and Accounting teams including producing payroll reports as requested
 Producing Management Reports
 Process garnishments and loan repayments
 Process employment verifications
 Resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
 Complying  with labor legislation requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, advising management on needed actions.
 Perform timely and accurate preparation of payroll for the company via the payroll system; ensuring employees are paid in compliance with labor laws and company policies
 Process manual checks for employees as needed
 Prepares Generate Annual and Quarterly Reporting as needed.

Required general qualifications of the candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.
• Previous experience in payroll (preferably 3+ years)
• A solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws;
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, 1C. ERP systems
• Understanding in payroll calculation and Labor Legislation of Azerbaijan Republic ;
• Maintain the highest standards of accuracy, precision, discretion, and confidentiality
• Demonstrate good communication skills;
• Multilingual (Azeri, English, Russian).
