Job Title: SBT Instrumentation Technician
 
Job Location: Baku
 
Job Purpose:
 
To carry out all activities associated with Small Bore Tubing Fitting, Test and Flush. This will include, but not limited to, surveying Small Bore Tubing systems, developing 'bill of materials' for replacing SBT systems, assembling, fitting, flush and test of SBT systems onshore and offshore.   System flush and test will entail accurate and efficient testing of a variety of equipment packages / systems which contain primarily hydraulic components

Job description:

• To be responsible for small Onsite/Offshore EnerMech projects in various industry
• Assist, Supervisor or Field Engineer in conjunction with onshore support, the pre-mobilisation, testing of equipment, for execution of Small Bore Tubing sectors within Baku and other areas of operations
• Carry/follow out all project work pack requirements & compilation of data that’s required
• Supporting the Lead Technician, Supervisor or Field Engineer in the smooth running of EnerMech projects by reporting any equivalent and or client issues in an appropriate timely manner
• Set and mark out pipework, and develop patterns for tubing work
• Cold Bend
• Preparing tubing/ pipe ends
• Prepare and assemble screwed tubing work
• Prepare and assemble non-metallic tubing work
• Fabricate and install supports, Fabricate branches and bends
• Prepare and test tubing work systems
• Prepare and test tubing work systems including pressure testing.
• To perform all required discipline tasks, safely, consistently and in accordance with project requirements, procedures and specifications
• Read, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the plating / structural work scope is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable work pack, associated procedures and drawings / sketches.
• Provide support to other disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team.
• Correspond with clients in a professional manner by telephone, email, letter and all other means of communication
• Liaise with Technical Support Group for technical input/assistance
• Operate and maintain and repair equipment, reporting and rectifying defects where possible
• Prepare accurate reports and correspond within the timescales set for each individual project within EnerMech Operations Department
• Read, interpret and implement procedures / specifications / general arrangement and piping isometric drawings / sketches etc.

Requirement for the job:

Essential
• Educated to ‘Standard Grade’ Level or equivalent
• Relevant industry experience
• BOSIET/MISTS
• Experience in use of P.T.W. / I.S.S.O.W.
• ECITB Small Bore Tubing Certification Level 1 & 2
• ECITB SBT Technical Assessment
 
Preferred
• Educated to ‘Higher Grade’ Level or equivalent
• Recognised trade qualification or equivalent
• College Diploma or higher
• Apprenticeship or level 2 NVQ equivalent in relevant trade discipline
• HNC in an engineering discipline or City and Guilds in a related trade or an NVQ level 3 in a related trade
 
Intermediate English is required for the position
