POSITION: PURCHASING MANAGER
JOB LOCATION: GABALA-AZERBAIJAN
Health and Wellness pioneer Chenot announces an exciting new opening in Azerbaijan – a fascinating Chenot Palace Hotel that will be specialized in detoxing, preventive and regenerative treatments that promote health, wellness and vitality. Opening of a state-of-the-art Health and Wellness Hotel in Gabala is planned in the heart of a beautiful evergreen forest, which is a perfect retreat where the guests could conduct the detox and revitalization programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Purchasing Manager will be an integral part of the pre-opening team for Chenot Palace Gabala-Azerbaijan by providing guidance and expertise in all aspects of Purchasing.
• Research and development of new products and services for the Hotel.
• Establish contracts to ensure reduced pricing for all operating areas of the Hotel.
• Monitor vendors for quality, service and price through standard purchasing specifications.
• Implement sound purchasing policies, systems and procedures in accordance with Company policies.
• Operate in compliance with all Local laws and government regulations.
• Ensure the efficient operation of the Purchasing Department in all aspects.
• Assist with Operating Capital Expenditures.
• Establish Rebate Programs for the Hotel.
• Assist with ensuring compliance to National Contracts and Corporate Standards.
• Able to work in Materials Controls and train their personnel.
• Interact professionally with individuals outside the hotel, such as suppliers, contractors and competitors.
• Negotiate food prices, place daily orders based on requirements, and ensure prompt delivery as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous leading role experience in Hotel Purchasing is preferred
• Ability to communicate in English and either Azeri, Turkish or Russian is a requirement
• Pre-opening experience is an asset
• Strong administration, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and changes with flexibility, timeliness and efficiency
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and computer skills
• Strong organizational, administrative and time management skills, the ability to be flexible with hours, days off, assignments and additional duties
• Excels in a fast paced and challenging team-oriented environment
• Solid knowledge of Purchasing procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
