Fire Safety Engineer

Key accountabilities:

• Reading the Fire Consultants fire report and understanding the building’s needs.
• Reviewing and directing the Fire systems design.
• Leading MEP contractors installations on site according to the fire report and fire systems design
• Creating and implementing the Fire Alarm Cause and Effect Matrix for the building.
• Participating in trainings and give further training to Operations teams personnel.
• Inspect buildings or building designs to determine fire protection system requirements and potential problems in areas such as water supplies, exit locations, and construction materials.
• Advise architects, builders, and other construction personnel on fire prevention equipment and techniques, and on fire code and standard interpretation and compliance.
• Prepare and write reports detailing specific fire prevention and protection issues such as work performed and proposed review schedules.
• Direct the installation, maintenance, and operation of fire protection systems.
• Consult with authorities to discuss safety regulations and to recommend changes as necessary.
• Develop training materials and conduct training sessions on fire protection.

Required skills/experience:

• Professional Engineer with 5+ years of experience in construction
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Building and life safety codes knowledge
• Experience in Fire suppression systems design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Fluency in Azerbaijani, English and Russian
