Program Management Office Director
Reports to: CEO
Job Description:
Develops PMO Strategy and executes roadmap development and action planning
Develops governance models and processes in alignment with internal and external customers
Expertly develops processes around Portfolio Management and project prioritization analysis
Develops Balanced Scorecards and Dashboards
Maintains overall accountability for the successful delivery of the designated project / programs
Establishes work plan tracking procedures, status reporting, issue management, change management, resource management, configuration management, financial management, etc.
Establishes and manages project schedules; taking into consideration deadlines, dependencies, resources, and costs.
Coordinates, directs and monitors Company programs ensuring consistency of processes across projects
Serves as a coach for project managers and project teams and oversees the development of project plans and schedules, project cost/benefits estimates, estimates of project staffing requirements and issue management
Educates Program/Project Managers regarding PMO processes and procedures and use of standard forms and templates
Manages 3rd party vendors selected to participate in assigned projects, including full vendor management procedures
Facilitates the detailed definition and scoping of projects including both the IT portions of a project and the Business / Business process components of the project
Leads the teams to develop HLD and LLD for the designated projects,
Improves business processes by collaborating with customers, colleagues, and other functional teams.
Manages communication between internal customers and various functional groups
Participates in vendor evaluations and provides recommendations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
At least 5 years on technical project management experience; relevant tertiary qualification preferred. Project management certification e.g. PMP, preferred.
Knowledge of Fixed, Mobile and WiFi technologies’ architecture/standards
Knowledge of good English and Azeri/Turkish or Russian languages;
Proven experience in providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes
Understanding of project delivery and acceptance processes within a fast-paced business environment
Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness
Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups
Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
Experienced user of MS Project and MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
