Senior Legal Counsel
Requirements
Bachelor and Master Degree in Law. Western education is an advantage, but not a must.
Minimum 3-5 years of legal experience
Excellent knowledge of Azerbaijani and English, intermediate knowledge of Russian languages
Strong of MS Office skills
Free of military obligation
Required Competencies
Legal drafting skills
Result orientation
Time management
Very good knowledge of Contract law and Commercial law
Knowledge of ICT law is an advantage.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Preparation, drafting, senior reviewing Contracts, Agreements, Addendums, Amendments, Side letters, Assignments, Terminations, Letters of Intent, Memorandums of Understanding and other documents of a legal and contractual nature
Participation in negotiations required for concluding of the contracts and related contractual documents, as well as for resolution of disputes arising from the implementation of contractual documents
Protection of the Company rights and interests in relation with any contractors/vendors (including participation in relevant negotiations, preparation of claims and other documents)
Preparation and senior reviewing of documents required for termination of the contractual documents
Preparation and senior reviewing of legal opinions related to the issues arising out of and in connection with the contractual relations of the Company
Provision of legal expertise of the contractual documents with respect to compliance to existing legal requirements and possible legal risks
Control over adherence by the Company to the obligations undertaken under the contractual documents and provision of relevant alarms to the related departments
Performance of other tasks that may from time to time be assigned by Department Director.
