Job Description

Job Title: Certification Engineer

Interfaces with:  QA/QC inspection and certification personnel 

Responsible to: Senior Certification Engineer

Prime responsibilities and duties

• Monitoring all data entry in to the Certification & Completion database system.
• Daily checking progress reports, to make sure that all data entry is correct and nothing has delayed or missed out during input to the system
• Supervision and guidance to Certification Clerks, verification and implementation of  the Quality Control Database
• Liaison with Discipline & Construction Engineers to ensure certification boundaries & requirements.
• Compilation of Certification database certificates in line with system certification and boundary limits.
• Input of data to Handover Certification Packs (HCP) to assure continuous accurate handover records
•  Liaison with Inspection, Construction, Commissioning, Mechanical Completions, to ensure adequate status recording of ongoing activities
•  Ensuring adequacy of as-built drawing records and input to certification dossiers plus transmittal to design contractor
•  Liaise with construction and commissioning teams during the finalization of the handover phase through to final close out and systems handover.
• Provision of a weekly written report and monthly report inputs to line manager.
• Administration and maintenance of the certification system to maintain a robust completions tool on daily base
• Collecting all associated information related to each of the above including drawings, equipment lists and tag number and track certificate requirements for each tag number.

Core competencies

• Minimum 3 years of work experience
• Higher Technical Education
• Competent and efficient at entering computer data paying particular attention to detail
• Able to read fabrication drawings (piping & structural) for checking certification records
• English (intermediate)
