Norm Cement Factory
Norm LLC has completed a construction of “Norm Sement” plant in Garadagh district of Baku city, with production capacity of 5 thousand tons of clinker per day and 2 million tons of cement per year and launched the cement production.
We are currently seeking for Environmental Specialist
Main tasks and responsibilities:
• Ascertains levels of pollutions and recommends appropriate action to management to assure conformance with local legislation and regulations and Norm standards
• Assists in the overall planning and installation of equipment revision relating to the environment.
• Plans, conducts and supervises environmental safety projects and initiatives with Production Engineers.
• Serve as liaison between the company and regulatory bodies concerned with environmental control.
• May represent the company in outside discussions and forums.
• Compile statistics, prepare reports and maintain appropriate environmental compliance records.
• File appropriate reports with various government agencies and respective bodies
• Provides proper internal and external communication on matters related to environment to management on a monthly basis.
• To secure the continuous reduction of pollution from plant activities in compliance with the defined technical and Norm environmental targets.
• To ensure and coordinate communication with local environmental authorities and respective departments
• To coordinate and execute environmental reporting to local environmental authorities and respective departments
• To permanently review and extend if necessary environmental permitting procedures
• Carry out of annual environmental measurements, measurements for AFR trials and process measurements.
• Waste management at the plant
• Performs a variety of engineering work in designing, installing, operating and maintaining measuring apparatus necessary to determine level of pollutants
• Recommends and leads implementation of actions necessary to achieve continuous improvement in their programs.
• Develops cost effective approaches to achieve compliance with new environmental regulations, and where appropriate, attempt to modify existing permits/procedures to maximize operational flexibility and reduce the cost and complexity of compliance.
• Provides technical support and leadership on regulatory compliance and performance for assigned compliance programs with a focus on process emissions. Performs periodic assessments.
• Ensures environmental compliance requirements are adequately documented through plans, policies, procedures, and Essential compliance tasking.
• Provides coaching and training to the line, as necessary to achieve a high awareness and understanding of air requirements. Ensure content and frequency of training is appropriate.
REQUIREMENTS
Functional Skills
• Have professional level working knowledge of Azeri, English
• Must have intermediate Microsoft office skills
• Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment while remaining calm and collective
• Self-motivation and organizational skills and the ability to take initiatives
• Ability to respond effectively to the inquires or complaints
Education & Experience
• University degree Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent education is essential
• At least 2-3 years of relevant working experiences
