Job Title: Reservoir Regional Sales Manager

Location: Baku, Azerbaijan

Report to: Azerbaijan Country Manager, Reservoir Business Manager, Global

Region: Middle East / Russia / Caspian

GENERAL

Reporting locally to the Country Manager and functionally to the Reservoir Business Manager, the job holder will be responsible for techno-commercial and business development support covering reservoir tracer applications to all bases throughout the Company MEC region. The job role will include the necessity to develop expertise in all areas of Near Wellbore (frac tagging), Inflow (controlled release) and Interwell (Water, Gas and Steam) applications including project design, execution and data analysis. In addition, the job holder will be responsible for discussing and managing requirements from customers to feedback to the reservoir development team and ensure ongoing development and growth within the Reservoir Business Unit.

The job role will involve regular communication with regional sales / operational staff and the global reservoir sales team to offer support and assistance as well as with high level customer contacts responsible for key purchasing decision making at asset and corporate levels. In order to offer the most appropriate advice and assistance the job holder must have a strong background in both technical sales and oilfield reservoir technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain expertise in all aspects of reservoir tracer technology including interwell, near wellbore and inflow technologies including project design, execution and data interpretation.
• Carry out face to face technical meetings with prospective and existing customers across the geographical territories in support of local commercial and operational management.
• Carry out face to face sales meetings with prospective and existing customers across the geographical territories in support of local commercial and operational management.
• Assist with the development of strong relationships with customers in each of the regions through key account management support - face to face discussions from project concept through to final data reporting.
• Determine business potential in unconventional applications in support of specific regions. Promote tracer technologies to position as new territory market leader using references from the USA and Canada.
• Respond to customer technical and commercial enquiries as and when required on a timely basis, including the preparation of technical and commercial proposals.
• Support each of the regional teams by resolving any issues with customers; face to face wherever possible.
• Attending specific technology forums and conferences to help the Reservoir Business Unit understand the demands of the region
• Proactively seek and meet corporate level reservoir key decision makers who service national and international sites.
• Proactively seek information on competitor services / products and work with Reservoir Business Manager, Global to formulate technology offering / pricing / promotion plans to counter competitive threats
• Support the marketing department with suitable case studies / technical paper writing and delivery to ensure world class literature and publicity materials are available to global customers.
• Actively participate in the annual budgeting process in support of regional management.
• With regional management support, manage the education of regional staff engaged in data analysis as part of our advanced technology drive. Oversee data quality and act as primary contact point for customer questions.

As the job role involves significant lone working and technical customer contact the job holder must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be self motivated, technically capable and be willing to travel on a regular basis to a wide range of customer sites.
