The global oilfield provider of engineered services and products primarily to the offshore oil and gas industry declares job vacancy to the following position:

Job Title: Graduate Engineer

Location: Baku, Azerbaijan

Main Function:. Inspection support as directed by appropriate IE/SIE

Main Duties:

Ensure that overall, inspection activities and certification of plant and equipment on the facilities complies with Oceaneering and Client’s codes of practice, strategies and legislation requirements, for continued integrity and plant availability to be maintained.

Perform activities in accordance with the terms of the contract.  Also, ensure they are conducted in accordance with the recommendations from relevant Risk Based Inspection assessments (RBA) when carried out, the Inspection Test plans (ITPs), Oceaneering’s Inspection procedures or any other agreed/approved procedures.

Provide regular feedback to the Oceaneering Inspection Engineer (IE) and Oceaneering Senior Inspection Engineer (SIE) for the facilities.

Assist in producing workpacks/scopes and feedback accessibility, operational constraints, etc.

Issue formal inspection reports for plant and equipment including their condition and observations to the IE/SIE for review and endorsement. Include also, those when required, carried out by Oceaneering employed contractors and third party sub contractors. Where relevant, the reports are to include supporting information, documentation, NDT reports and any anomaly reports.

Issue repair orders as instructed as per the relevant anomaly procedure and
advise the IE/SIE of any significant risk identified from an inspection.

Interface with fabric maintenance contractors and verification activities as required and instructed.

Support the Exports Delivery Manager and the onshore project team in all inspection or non-inspection related activities.

Participate in all strategy reviews as required and support the RBAs carried out in terms of providing information, etc., to assist in the development of inspection programs and where necessary in developing detailed plans, programs and workscopes.

Supervise Oceaneering employed contractors including third party ones, on a continual basis at arrival at any of the facilities, daily briefings and de-mobilisation. Ensuring the contractor understands the workscope, the associated risks and that the work is completed and reported as specified in the workscope.

Follow and adhere to any developement plans or training as instructed by Oceaneering supervision.

Other Duties:

Ensure compliance with Oceaneering and BP, HSEQ polices and systems.

Undertake other duties as required by the IE/Senior Inspection Engineer.

Coating Inspection:

• Inspect and evaluate existing coating as requested by appropriate methods per client acceptance criteria and submit reports to the Oceaneering IE/SIE for approval and submission to client.

• Witness coating preparation and application to assure adherence to Client and Maunfactures standards and submit reports to the Oceaneering IE/SIE for approval and submission to client. This shall include: assure compliance to surface preparation, preparation procedures, mixing, application equipment, application methods, curing guidelines, etc. to assure successful application. Any deviations shall be reported to the fabric maintenance contractor and client ASAP and documented in the daily/final report.

• Discuss remediation, substitution or testing of alternative coatings and methods according to knowledge and experience. However the issuance of recommendations either written or verbal is expressly forbidden.

• Take notice of any facility/equipment abnormalities while in the field and submit a report to the appropriate IE/SIE for futher handling.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

University degree in Engineering and technical training appropriate to Energy production and transportation.
Proficiency in English and Azeri
Good Communication Skills

Ability to act independently and proactively
Strong analytical and organisational skills
Written and oral communication skills
High level of Computer Literacy
