Role synopsis BP Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey Region (AGTR) invites professionals to apply to the Regional Security Officer role. The Regional Security Officer will act as the focal point for political and security information collection, analysis in the field. As the job holder, you will participate on site assurance audits, surveys and reviews.
Key accountabilities
As Regional Security Officer, your main responsibilities will be:
• Maintain close contacts with local law enforcement representatives to ensure gathering information for the risk assessment process
• Analyze information about situation in the regions and regularly provide Security Manager with updated information;
• Periodically provide implementation of risk assessment process in the regions in compliance with appropriate guidelines:
• Provide timely consultation and advise to the field team members on the security related issues;
• Facilitate the process of inclusion of local communities, as contributors, into security.
• Promptly and accordingly react in any emergency situations, co-ordinate actions of field team members and maintain contacts with local law enforcement bodies to provide safe and secure activity of field team;
• Focal point of contact with the local Law Enforcement Authorities (LEA) in regards with reputation assurance issues
• Participate in the security contractor’s staff selection process
Essential Education
• University degree
Essential experience and job requirements
• Proficiency in conducting basic security surveys and investigations.
• Experience of Risk Assessment and Management processes.
• Knowledge of political and security situation in country.
Desirable criteria & qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of Industrial security experience
• Knowledge of national security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in facilitation/negotiating in conflict situations.
