Monitoring (75%)/ Rural Finance (25%) Coordinator

The non – governmental organization HEKS – EPER Azerbaijan implements on behalf of the Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC) a market development project (milk and beef) in five Rayons of Western Aran region. For the second phase of the project (2013- 2016), it is seeking a Monitoring/ Rural Finance Coordinator.

Work location: Agjabedi, with frequent travels to the field

Duration: 36 months with a three-month probation period

Job description

HEKS-EPER Azerbaijan contracts a Monitoring Coordinator (75%), who monitors and arranges the evaluation of project deliveries, results and impacts. In 25% of the time, he or she supports rural entrepreneurs in accessing financial services. The coordinator acts in line with the legislation of the government of Azerbaijan, HEKS- EPER Azerbaijan and the Swiss Development Cooperation.

Qualifications

• Higher education, preferably in an agriculture related discipline and/ or development studies
• Work experience with proven results in results monitoring, preferably in the private sector.
• Work experience in working or cooperating with financial institutions
• Besides Azeri, fluent English language skills. Russian and Turkish are an asset
• Ability to work independently, in a small team and under rather difficult conditions, ability to travel
• Excellent analytical, communication and networking skills and team spirit
